Director, Marketing, North America Corporate Sales At The Estee Lauder Companies

Job Description

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:

The Marketing Director will drive the consumer Marketing strategies, Programming, Digital & Social campaigns across the Cosmetics Company Store (CCS) channel of sales to drive top line growth. The position is responsible for the development and communication of all Marketing programs and updates to the field and various internal brand teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drive the annual and long-term strategic marketing planning for the CCS channel.

  • Develop a marketing strategy and implement events and activities in our stores to create consumer excitement and to drive traffic and conversion at retail.

  • Partner closely with Customer Service and Store Management to solicit feedback, evaluate trends and ensure excellence in execution.

  • Research and understand the consumer demographics of outlet shoppers and determine how best to market to them

  • Develop promotional calendars for in-store outlet events

  • Work with on-hand warehouse and store inventory to determine excess inventory for use in events

  • Facilitate and action all event collateral, including its development and shipment to stores; also including posters for light boxes, counter cards and other promotional material for each event and seasonal activities

  • Develop training materials for each event when necessary

  • Track and analyze results of all events

  • Determine special sale pricing to increase select product sell-through

  • Work closely with PALC Management to ensure the timely movement of event inventory

  • Interact with outlet Marketing Management to determine how we can leverage their activities and campaigns to drive traffic to our stores

  • Test and try new activities through marketing, Social & Digital to determine what works and what doesn't work to help drive and increase sales

  • Create and Develop events and marketing activities to support warehouse sales, ecommerce sales and other channels of distribution in Corporate Sales

  • Develop Digital strategy for the CSS channel including website & social media

  • Marketing plans for launching new stores and refurbishment, liaise with store design on visual aspects off the doors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum eight years’ experience

  • Position requires a flexible, independent, well-organized individual with superior written and verbal communication skills.

  • Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for collaborative team environment.

  • Candidate must be a detail-oriented, self-starter and a team player.

  • Candidate should also demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer skills required, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Candidate must be able to travel to Melville, NY bi-monthly
