Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Vice President, Marketing, located in Northfield, IL. This person will strategically and tactically lead all marketing efforts as well as support and coordinate significant 'sales operations' efforts; rep and customer support. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education or background in Corporate Marketing with healthcare industry experience and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude.
The challenging responsibilities of the position include:
Develop and implement a clear marketing strategy for current products and markets
Develop marketing plans that are consistent with both corporation and division goals that meet the growth targets of the business
Lead new business development activity, including current products into new and existing sites
Maintain contacts with key customers (National Accounts / Group Purchasing Organizations) and other clients
Work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders and departments to support the complex operational components of the business
Work with the sales organization to support sales and margin commitments to the group
Review significant financial expenditures, adjusting for contingencies and evaluating results at the end of the year
Develop and manage all sales communications and training programs
Ensure group promotion programs optimize the return on investment while meeting the needs of the markets and customers served
Review and approve materials relating to advertising, market research, forecast and pricing
Assist the Division President in meeting sales and margin performance objectives

Relevant Work Experience
At least 10 plus years of marketing experience.
At least 3 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups
Excellent organizational, planning, communication, computer and follow-up skills required
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. P referred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare or a related industry with a direct sales force with progressive marketing roles/experience at the senior level.
