As a Product Manager, you are responsible for driving sales of your product categories. You will collaborate with business units across the organization including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Inventory Management and Finance.

We are seeking a Product Manager of Over-the-Counter Drugs in the Nutrition & Pharmaceuticals Division located out of our new corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL . In addition, they will have a direct report, and will be responsible for growth in our Post Acute segment, worth $100 million in business.

What will you do?

Product Manager will support and run the OTC portfolio at Medline.
The responsibility includes managing marketing, sales support and
financial growth of assigned business category, as well as the new product
development and the management of product lifecycle of new and existing
products. Includes sourcing, launching to market and sales training
and support.

Review product portfolio to identify new Medline brand products and new channel/market strategy.
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs for existing products and new products. This may include product development strategy, pricing strategy, collateral creation, and brand management.
Develop and deliver training materials and sales tools for internal stakeholders, sales forces and customers.
Create and deliver presentations and training programs for sales, work with and train sales force to be able to confidently sell product to customers.
Create customer facing marketing tools and programs, and conduct market research that can then translate into new products and programs.
Travel with sales force to support efforts to grow designated product lines.
Support the sales team by providing timely follow up to questions via e-mail and phone.
Develop and run reports that summarize and analyze financial progress and results.
Communicate with sales regularly on new opportunities, products, and divisional updates.
Grow presences in the market via associate partnerships and participation.
Review monthly financial performance and determine contributing factors and trends. Offer solutions to detrimental sales or cost trends. Analyze sales trends over time and impact of competitive strategies.
Manage e-Commerce marketing strategy working with the digital team.

Education

Bachelor's degree
Relevant Work Experience

At least 2 years of marketing, sales, product management, or brand management (healthcare experience preferred)

Experience negotiating with outside vendors and internal resources

Experience collecting and analyzing financial data
Experience generating detailed project plans and timelines
Additional

Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state with possible international travel)

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns)

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font)

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM and VLOOKUP function, pivot tables, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling)
