The Accountant will verify accuracy of signed contracts and will assist Executive, Financial, and Departmental management in the preparation and completion of financial data collection, financial reports/tools, various surveys and special projects; including but not limited to Inventory, Audits, Budget, Charge Master, ROI’s, P&L’s, and Projection. Prepares weekly financial projections and updates files after month closes for trending purposes. Review and analyze contractual and net revenues of approximately $50M per month. Analyze all large dollar accounts through out the month
Excellent computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access, and business intelligence tools
Intermediate skill level in data collection, data mining, data assimilation; interpreting and analyzing large amounts of data; skill in examining documents and data for correctness and accuracy
Basic understanding of journal entries
Demonstrates self-learning and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and develop
Establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
Able to perform work, special requests and tasks under only very minimal supervision
Able to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies, including physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. Work may be stressful at times, including possible weekend work during month-end. Contact will involve dealing with upper management and/or leadership on a routine basis.
