Our aim is to ensure our client’s sponsorship activities are impactful, accountable and aligned with their wider communications objectives to drive maximum success and efficiency from sponsorship as a key component of the communication system. 3) Media Amplification – Bringing Partnerships (Sponsorship) to Life


The role of the Partnership Marketing Manager is to plan, prepare, manage and activate client sponsorships and events. This position involves conducting relevant and insightful internal and external analysis, identifying and communicating influential business implications, creating compelling storylines and developing key recommendations rooted in strategic insights, to ensure client satisfaction. As such, candidates should be well versed in all tenets of sponsorship strategy and be comfortable operating with ambiguity, while demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Thinking: Strategically planning, executing, and coordinating logistics for all phases of events and sponsorship activations to help champion sponsorship programs.
  • Solutions Based Marketing: Diagnosing partner (client) briefs and responding with sponsorship/partnership-oriented marketing solutions.
  • Marketing Plan Ownership: Ensuring project plans are delivered on time and on budget by maintaining work back schedules and status reports.
  • Relationship Management: Establishing and maintaining effective relationships within and outside the immediate team.
  • Executional Excellence: Taking accountability for the partner (client) experiential and sponsorship events, in close collaboration with partner (client) and sport property owner.
  • Industry Expertise: Act as the Subject Matter Expert on all issues relating to Sport Marketing including sport media partnerships. Analyse ongoing sponsorship and market trends within sports, arts, entertainment and lifestyle. Translate the key insights and learnings into strategic and tailored partner (client) recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track-record of project planning, project management and organization skills
  • An established reputation as a strategic thinker, curious learner, and creative problem-solver
  • A growth and learning mindset
  • Business management, strategic marketing, budget management and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and account management skills
  • Excellent understanding of sponsorship marketing and media landscapes, both domestic and international
  • High level of competence leveraging sponsorship assets through ongoing experiential activities and consumer engagements, to achieve brand marketing objectives,
  • A proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
  • A passion for leadership
  • An effective decision-maker
  • An ability to navigate throughout different levels of organizations, work independently or as team member
  • A comfort level working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs

Education and Experience:

  • University or relevant college degree
  • 3-5+ years Sport / Entertainment experience
  • Strong understanding of competitive agency landscape, key trends
  • Business management and / or marketing experience in non-sport environment
  • Travel may be required
