Associate Media Director, Digital At Media Storm, LLC

Location: New York, New York

Job Description

Job Summary:

This position offers the opportunity to take on a leadership role in a successful, and growing Digital department, while enjoying a small agency environment with blue chip clients.

Bring innovative and creative thinking, rooted in thorough understanding of media, marketing, advertising principles, as well as the client’s industry and business concerns, to campaigns and projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Strategic Capabilities:

Lead integration from Digital side with traditional planning teams, as well as other departments such as TV buying, Promotions and Partnerships, Content Syndication, Bolt and creative partners, to create overall marketing/media campaigns

Contribute to the development of client media objectives and strategies, and translate those objectives and strategies to the Online space

Oversee all elements of Online planning, buying, negotiating, optimizing, reporting and posting

Provide creative analysis and recommendations when appropriate to improve media performance

Client Service:

Senior level and day to day client relationship management

Actively participate and lead Digital contributions to new business efforts

Presentation of media plans and/or POV’s

Supervisory:

Lead department exploration of new trends and industry news, as well as be well versed in basic Digital and marketing principles. Serve as a resource both internally and externally

Train and manage multiples teams. Ensure highest quality of work output from individuals and teams.

Ultimate fiscal responsibility of client campaigns and budgets


Industry and Vendor Relationships:

Represent Media Storm at industry events and in trade publications and sites, may include speaking opportunities

Develop, and build, strong relationships with vendors with a focus on bringing our clients first to market and innovating ad offerings, as well as development of long term partnerships

Ad Sales program negotiation and management (i.e. upfronts)



Qualifications and Skills:

5 years plus of media planning/buying experience. At least 3-4 years of online media planning/buying at an agency and/or client

Entrepreneurial mindset

Solid Management experience

Passion for the Digital space

Strong analytic skills and problem–solving skills

Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through

Experience using Atlas and/or DoubleClick

Experience with online research tools such as @Plan, AdRelevance, Comscore, etc.

Experience working within areas such as Online Video, Rich Media, Alternative Pricing Models (i.e. cpe), SEM, SEO, Social Marketing (paid and non-paid), Mobile, and Gaming a plus

Entertainment experience (TV, Theatrical, Gaming) is a plus
