Medavie Health Services New Brunswick is the subsidiary of Medavie Health Services responsible for the optimal operation and management of EM/ANB, an integrated, service-led primary health care organization. As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we're looking for a Manager, EMP Education Program to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Clinical Performance, Risk & Education, the Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring strategies for orientation, continuing education and student placement programs while working in collaboration with all areas of the EM/ANB and MHSNB organizations, our patients and their families, as well as with external stakeholders in the development of strategies and their operational implementation.

The Manager will develop education initiatives with a focus on the interdisciplinary teams educational needs based on best practices and evidence while effectively communicating with employees, patients, their family, other healthcare providers and stakeholders as required to accomplish his/her functions.

As the ideal candidate for this position, you:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (adult learning certification would be considered a definite asset);
  • Possess a minimum five years of experience in a community health care setting, preferably in the home care environment including a minimum of three years of demonstrated management level experience;
  • Have proven experience with adult educational teaching concepts and facilitation;
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage others in discussions and influence decisions through clear, concise, logical and compelling communication while providing the appropriate level of depth when communicating with a diverse group;
  • Possess knowledge of the various disciplines within the Extra-Mural Program and the specific professional requirements for care providers;
  • Are comfortable in sourcing, analyzing and compiling information related to best practices and evidence on defined topics;
  • Have knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements, especially in a home care environment; and
  • Have exceptional communications skills both written and verbal, including the ability to engage various diverse groups in discussions.

Bilingualism is an asset.
