The Opportunity



This position is responsible for analysis and interpretation of group contracts for both regional and national business, identifying system capabilities, ensuring plans are structured according to contract, and responding to various inquiries from both internal and external customers.


In this position, you are responsible for coordinating all activities on assigned projects which includes defining action plans and activity lists for all tasks to be completed by other departmental sources, ensuring business areas are aware of their accountabilities and tasks are completed on time.


You will act as lead and subject matter expert and be responsible for coordinating system and operational needs for Group Business. Plan and organize presentations on application development to a variety of internal and external customers as required.


In this role you will also be responsible for the creation of initial documentation and maintenance documentation on system functionality. This documentation will be provided to the training team when new processes and system enhancements are implemented. You will be responsible for trouble-shooting all issues presented by various areas to ensure a resolution is prepared and presented with defined turnaround.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze documents received for new groups and revisions.
  • Ensure that all necessary information has been provided, if not request the missing information.
  • Analyze, study and set-up the proper structure for all Group Business which includes all Regions.
  • Building the plan structure to align with the contract benefits, policies and provisions.
  • Manage the portfolio for all business on MAAX.
  • Develop and implement plans for carrying out improvements to the structures and technologies by collaborating with various business units.
  • Ensure that all business needs are reviewed by the project team and identify gaps between technologies, structures and processes.
  • Representative of the business that will make business decisions regarding MAAX functionality and changes to existing processes.
  • Work closely with members of the business units and management to implement modifications to structures and technologies.
  • Coordinate all activities on assigned projects and process improvements, defining action plans, activity lists, and tasks.
  • Plan and organize presentations on new processes or enhancements to system users.
  • Represent Client Solutions, both internally and externally as assigned by Management.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot business processes and issues related to the various markets serviced by Medavie Blue Cross.
  • Act as subject matter expert to ensure Client Solutions policies and procedures are accurately represented.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients.
  • Submit any problem to Management with recommendations on solutions to rectify the challenge.
  • Will be the triage for any reporting defects within MAAX System
  • Will be the main contact and will be required to provide solutions to any challenges, enhancements that is required for MAAX.
  • Perform any other duties requested by Management


Qualifications


Education: University or college degree with a focus in Business or equivalent.


Work Experience: Minimum of three years related business or experience in Health, Dental, and Life Insurance would be considered an asset.


Other Qualifications: Superior time management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, intense environment smoothly, exceptional analytical skills, can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, motivated to learn new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge. Can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably. Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team.


Computer Skills: High level working knowledge of system operating procedures and software applications such as Microsoft Office, Oracle Developer, and the ability to learn new technology in a timely manner.


Language Skills: Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset for this position
