The Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Lead, Implementation & Administration, the onboarding Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Implementation Specialists with all aspects of assisting in the onboarding of Brokerage and Corporate New Business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review new business sold proposal and all new sale set up documentation, including thorough reviews of all employee application forms;
  • Identify discrepancies or questions and resolve these directly with appropriate parties
  • Knowledge of group benefit and administration detail in order to gain understanding of the Source Document;
  • Correspond with agents, brokers and consultants to obtain missing information
  • Analysis of data from various sources and translation to Medavie Blue Cross specifications;
  • Schedule, track and follow up on a large volume of sales in a fast paced environment
  • Correspond with Account Associates, Account Executives and various internal operational departments regarding all aspects of new sale implementation;
  • Provide back up support to other Administrative Assistants;
  • Perform any other similar or general duties required by the position

Qualifications


Education: College diploma in office systems technology or business administration


Work Experience: One to three years’ experience working in administrative/office support environment is considered an asset.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Language Skills: Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset
