Marketing and Brand Advocacy Manager At MD Financial Management

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Reporting to the Lead, Brand and Distribution Marketing, the Marketing and Brand Advocacy Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the brand advocacy marketing strategy and developing marketing collateral and programs that resonate with advisors and their clients.

The Marketing and Brand Advocacy Manager will also lead the development and implementation of marketing programs that will elevate the MD Brand, drive acquisition and grow revenue by working closely with the Partnership and Alliance team to find win-win solutions for MD and its partners, leveraging MD’s vast financial expertise and its unparalleled network of partnerships within Canada’s physician community.

What you will do:

You’ll work closely with the Partnership and Alliance team to develop, implement and measure integrated, comprehensive partnership marketing programs that drive revenue and increase the market’s awareness, demand and preference for MD’s services

You’ll identify opportunities that exist within each partner channel and recommends sound and actionable solutions, leveraging MD’s content, campaigns, events and community initiatives

You’ll provide channel requirements to functional groups on programs and initiatives focused on improving sales efficiencies and revenue attainment.

You’ll manage affiliate and community partnerships and sponsorship marketing activities

You’ll leverage partnership events, trade-shows, and other industry events to identify opportunities that elevate the MD brand

You’ll develop and maintain a partnership marketing plan and calendar

You’ll helpdevelop and implement value added programs and marketing collateral designed to help advisors enhance client relationships

You’ll support the marketing planning processes including; discussions cross-functionally to determine opportunities, identification of potential strategic initiatives and actions, perform feasibility studies and assist with the implementation of resulting efforts

You’ll manage agency partners in the creation and updates of relevant marketing collateral

You’ll stay current on best practices and drive strategic thinking to optimize performance and improve sales enablement initiatives, prioritizing next steps for short- and long-term strategic planning purposes

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to align marketing plans with enterprise goals and objectives

You’ll translate the strategic marketing plan into tactical plans inclusive of content, collateral, and different marketing tactics

You’ll support efforts to better understand and improve the experience and resources for financial advisors and end investors

You’ll ensure marketing materials adhere to brand standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements, seeking out approvals from appropriate departments

You’ll be a key member of the broader marketing team, helping MD reach new prospects, connect more deeply with existing clients, and increase brand awareness in the Canadian marketplace

What you need:

You possess a university or college degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or business administration.

5+ years of marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility

Financial services industry experience and experience in companies with a distributed sales force strongly preferred

You are a highly motivated, creative individual that takes initiative with a strong attention to detail and a sense of humour.

You have a deep knowledge of the MS Office Suite especially– Excel and PowerPoint
