This position is for MSM, a division of Magna Powertrain. Administers the Preventative Maintenance System at MSM. Performs on-going analysis of unexpected downtime events that affect assets and facilities to identify preventative and predictive measures and feeds these measures back to the maintenance system, thereby continually reducing the occurrences and impacts of unexpected downtime events.
•Distribute PM Work Orders to Maintenance Managers weekly •Review completed Work Orders to verify that the work was completed at site to an acceptable level of quality. •Review completed Work Orders for follow-up tasks and issue new Work Orders for those tasks. •Enter completed Work Order data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System [CMMS] •Establish and maintain detailed Master Asset List [MAL] to include capital assets and tooling assets •Review all PM tasklists at least annually •Assess the impact to employee and environmental safety as well as operations of downtime emanating from each sub-system for all assets and tooling items. Rank them by severity •Separate technical prevention and inspection activities for technical trades versus machine clean downs for TPM teams •Maintain monthly MTBF and MTTR results for each asset and tooling. •Ensure continual improvements in the effectiveness of Preventative measures by feeding back to the system such that MTBF is increased and MTTR is decreased. •Utilize Predictive, Preventative and Productive measures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Include the 5 steps of TPM to be MaFact compliant •Identify and manage spare parts inventory and storage •Maintain a PM budget to replenish the spare parts inventory •Maintain a risk based contingency system •Ensure that new assets and tooling are added to the Master Asset List prior to deployment to Operations. •Identify training needs associated with new assets and tooling and provide to HR for scheduling •Maintain a hard and/or virtual document library for assets and tooling •Provide audit defense when necessary to include, but not limited to, IATF, ISO and MaFact audits •Issue Work Orders for Red Tags and ensure that corrective actions status is maintained •Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Engineering Manager or designate.
Knowledge and Education
•Post-Secondary degree or diploma in a mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering field. •Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
