Role Summary/Purpose
The Key Account Manager will strategically lead the inter-organizational collaboration between BHGE PPS and the client to create unique value for both organizations with heavy focus on designing, implementing, and communicating a well-documented and robust Key Account Strategy that develops a strategy vision, ad relationships that maximize growth and market penetration for the entire PPS portfolio.
Essential Responsibilities
In the role of Key Account Manager you will:
  • Manage client and PPS interaction across multiple product lines, business units and international borders, and implement a strategic approach to collaborate to ensure PPS can achieve sustainable and profitable growth in line with long-term plans (GSP)
  • Be responsible for ensuring coordinated collaboration between the client organization and all PPS functions including commercial (ITO), operations (OTR), product line and technology
  • Report to PPS Canada Sales Leader, and working closely with the Canada BHGE Key Account team, you will serve as the single point of contact for a Key Account and be responsible for Orders, Revenue, Margin & Margin expansion, KPIs, Safety, NPS Scores and Customer feedback
  • Define, develop and maintain detailed and robust account strategies for a Key Account, sharing and bringing on board important stakeholders internally and externally
  • Build credibility with the customers by understanding needs and corresponding solutions to their problems in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Build key relationships and communication at customer’s highest appropriate levels focusing on key decision makers to understand and translate customer long-term needs to opportunities for PPS growth
  • Coordinate PPS/customer communication mechanisms and meeting rhythms including commercial, operations, product line, supply chain, technology and executive
  • Ensure the business receives accurate and timely orders forecasts to the business, through Deal Machine / Salesforce and participating in weekly QMI calls and other report-out meetings as and when needed
  • Define entitlement & identify areas to penetrate and grow our share of customer's wallet profitability; identify new market opportunities and cross-selling BHGE products
  • Effectively collaborate with multifunctional team to drive customer satisfaction and growth (quality, marketing, commercial, engineering and project management)
  • Detailed understanding of customer's business model and how PPS can develop services to deliver added value to the customer
  • Drive joint technology and development programs
  • Manage contractual arrangements as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales, marketing, business development or account management
Desired Characteristics
  • MBA is preferred, but not required
  • A track record of selling and/or relationship management at a strategic level
  • Proven ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships internally and with clients built on mutual trust and integrity
  • Strategic and/or product marketing exposure
  • An understanding of strategic key account management planning and implementation
  • Knowledge of commercial and contract language
  • A deep knowledge of the client organization at senior management / executive level is desirable
  • A technical and market knowledge of inline inspection, precommissioning and maintenance services is desirable
  • Ability to collaborate across boundaries at all levels within PPS and client organization
  • Ability to think strategically, plan holistically, and drive organizational focus to create value
  • Excellent Interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Relevant sales, marketing, business development, account management experience with a process mindset with respect to strategy and growth
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and leadership skills in a multicultural team, and matrix organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS word, Excel and Power Point. Working knowledge of SAP/ORACLE a plus
  • Proficient in the use of inventory control and computerized maintenance management systems. Working knowledge of Maximo a plus
  • Capable of writing maintenance procedures and work requests
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, instrument process drawings and vendor technical manuals
Eligibility Requirements
  • Travel 30% of the time, as required
