Our core values empower people to deliver great careers and develop creative solutions for complex problems on some of the most intricate projects. It doesn’t matter what your expertise and craft is – there are no boundaries. We are a group of leading professionals with a variety of expertise: engineers, investment bankers, superintendents, estimators, software engineers, accountants, lawyers, marketing and communications consultants, sustainability professionals, and project managers. As you can see, we are a diverse bunch.

In case you’re curious, here’s what the industry thinks of us and some cool things we have done.

You as Sustainability Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Assist our design and construction teams with the implementation and coordination of Sustainability initiatives and LEED related matters during design and construction, under the guidance of Sustainability Project Managers
  • Support our consulting / facilitation services on project targeting LEED® certification, Toronto Green Standard, and other sustainability targets as identified by clients
  • Review contract documents, identify project sustainability related risks, identify specific requirements, interpret corresponding scope, work with teams to mitigate risks, and escalate issues as required
  • Provide project start-up LEED® orientation to project teams, rolling out management systems and provide ongoing technical review, support, and training
  • Report on project status, action items and critical milestones during the development, construction and occupancy phases
  • Conduct research into products currently in the market that meet new sustainability requirements
  • Contribute to other sustainability initiatives, including EllisDon’s Carbon Impact Initiative, industry research, advocacy and outreach programs

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture or related discipline
  • You have or are willing to obtain a LEED® Accredited Professional designation within your first year
  • You have a minimum of 2-4 years experience facilitating the LEED® process (or equivalent sustainable building practice) during various phases of design, construction, and close-out and you have an in-depth technical understanding of the LEED® rating system (preferably with LEED® v4) and the corresponding impacts to design and construction, as well as a working understanding of other sustainability frameworks (eg: Toronto Green Standard, WELL, Envision, Net Zero Energy / Carbon, etc.)
  • You have a valid driver’s license (the role will involve site visitation) along with the ability to travel to other cities throughout Canada based on project portfolio
  • You have a passion for the environment and develop strong internal and external business relationships to achieve the goal of fulfilling the requirements for the LEED® certification

EllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity within a progressive environment with continuous learning and opportunity for growth, as well as a competitive compensation package.

Go ahead and be yourself. We'll pay you for it!
