You as an Snr AP Clerk will be responsible for the timely, accurate processing of all Accounts Payable, including:

  • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Monthly reconciliation.
  • Maintain historical records by photocopying and filing documents.
  • Disburse petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
  • Protect the project's value by keeping information confidential.

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have 3 to 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable. Construction industry background experience is considered a strong asset.
  • You have the ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
  • You are Self-Starter and have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet changing demands and expectations.
  • You have strong Microsoft Office skills (specifically: Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
