Senior Technologies Technician At Elliott Davis

As part of the Elliott Davis team, you’ll get hands-on experience working alongside some of the leading experts in the financial and consulting field, while enjoying the freedom and autonomy to manage your career and make a positive impact on the world.
The Senior Technologies Technician is a crucial member of our Charlotte, NC office. In this role, you will work alongside the Information Technology team to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot our internal systems and hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software packages
  • Write documentation to describe product corrections, including manual for end-users to describe installation and operating procedures
  • Help maintain our firm's internal IT ticketing system, ensuring ticket issues are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Work closely with various firm members to answer their technical questions, debug issues, and make recommendations

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred; candidates without a four-year degree will only be considered if they have equivalent experience working in IT support roles
  • A least 3-5 years experience working in IT, tech-support, or related field
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proactive nature, ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Strong problem solving skills; ability to think critically as well as develop creative solutions
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel 1-2 times per month to other office locations
