NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – E-COMMERCE RETAIL

As National Account Manager, lead development of high profile pure-play e-commerce accounts like Amazon, Wayfair, and other leading e-commerce platforms and marketplaces to increase sales and market share. Introduce and advocate necessary changes to optimize Elkay’s brand awareness and success thru e-commerce platforms and marketplaces. Own development and execution of a multi-year strategic plan aligned with organization’s omni-channel strategy.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Own and execute strategic plan to realize full online market share potential through mastery of e-commerce fundamentals and brand optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional team to ensure strategy and plan is being executed consistently across every touchpoint between Elkay and each platform / marketplace.
  • Partner and align with product and marketing teams on: product assortment, pricing, online content, marketing, advertising and promotions. Own strategic development, prioritization, and implementation in these core disciplines across pureplay online platforms.
  • Collaborate with and inspire all other internal departments to challenge norms in effort to execute strategic vision / plan and meet customer requirements: Supply Planning, Warehousing, Logistics, Manufacturing, IT, Finance, Accounting, Customer Care.
  • Execute plans in compliance with customer requirements and Elkay processes: Due diligence for customer requirements and supplier agreements, negotiation of all program terms, resolve system conflicts and restraints.
  • Sales Planning and Forecasting - Monitor sales and inventory levels to assess risks and properly communicate volume expectations for manufacturing and supply planning.
  • Monitor and analyze performance and market trends to plan and/or react as necessary: Sales, ratings and reviews, competitor performance, product listings - site presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in sales, business development, or marketing with one or more major online retailer (Amazon and/or Wayfair preferred) required
  • Experience leading development of Online / E-commerce business required
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Durable Goods experience preferred
  • Ability to travel between 25-50% of time required
  • Exceptional Excel skills and experience working with databases or business intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau) required
  • High degree of accountability to self, peers, and leadership a must
  • Ability to lead through influence and foster partnership and engagement with cross-functional teams a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
  • Strategic planning skills are required
  • Must be proficient at interpreting data and information to identify risks, necessary changes, and opportunities
  • Proven negotiation skills a must
  • Ability to create and confidently deliver relevant, coherent presentations essential
