Ardrossan Elementary is a K-6 school with approximately 583 students, 28 teaching staff, and 14 support staff. The school is located in the town of Ardrossan, Alberta approximately 10 minutes east of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Ardrossan Elementary School is a dual-track school offering both a regular English program and a French Immersion program.

A master's degree in counselling and registered or provisional psychologist status is preferred. Consideration will be given to applicants presently working on a master's in this area.
The successful candidate will have excellent collaboration skills in order to support teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in a variety of areas such as: creating Individual Support Plans, behavioural plans, and safety plans as well as providing supports for classroom differentiation. This role involves running a variety student groups to support students develop healthy skills in self-regulation, social interactions, positive self-talk, and mindfulness. Organizational skills are essential in this position in order to coordinate team meetings with parents, teachers, support staff, and other professionals (OT, SLP, Vision, Hearing, etc.) as well as to track data and connect families to community resources. Knowledge and skill with interpreting level A and B assessments would be an advantage. French language skills are an asset but not required.
