Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the

Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a temporary full-time 1.0 FTE Grade 3 Teacher at Pine Street Elementary School.
Pine Street School is a K-6 school, and also offers the PALS program, with approximately 375 students, 19 teaching staff, and 18 support staff. We are the designated PALS site for Sherwood Park. Our K-6 students with special needs are supported in regular classroom settings. The school is located in Sherwood Park.

Bachelor of Education degree
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Knowledge and training of the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment Kits and its meaningful implementation in the classroom, used to guide instruction
Effective organization and classroom management skills
Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
Excellent verbal and written skills
Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decision and/or instruction
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
