CPA firm in Twin Cities is seeking a Seasonal Tax Season Intern from early to mid-January to mid-April of 2020.
The selected intern will work closely with established tax and accounting professionals and receive experience in the following areas:
-Individual Tax Return Preparation and Completion (Form 1040)
-Some Business Tax Return Preparation and Completion (Form 1120, 1120S, 1065)
-Experience creating and reviewing business financial statements (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet) as well as Trial Balance preparation and Bank Account Reconciliation
-Experience working with the latest Industry Standard Software (Intuit Proseries and QuickBooks)
-Experience in administrative functions i.e. filing tax documents, collecting information from clients, reviewing client-provided information for completeness and accuracy
The selected intern will have most or all the following qualifications:
-Pursuing or recent completion of an accounting or other business/finance related degree
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Extensive experience using Microsoft Office software suite, especially Excel is a plus
-Ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure of deadlines
-A strong sense of professionalism and effective communication skills
-Punctuality and reliability is a must
