Accounting Clerk
Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk located in Woodland Hills, CA. Must be results-driven, fast-paced and community-oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations demonstrating consistent strong verbal and written communication; effective administrative and organizational skills; and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, reliable, able to multi-task and enjoy the challenges providing support to an organization with diverse people and external departments.
A strong business acumen reflecting high technical competency and efficiency in both actions and communication are critical.
This position will report directly to the CFO.
Responsible Duties:
* Must have at least 4 years of experience in Accounting utilizing Quickbooks a MUST
* Work closely and take direction from CFO
* Process and record payables to the correct period and accurate expense type in a timely basis
* Upload invoices using bill.com an online payment processing center to be approved by CFO
* Scan invoices and supporting documents to Quickbook
* Provide appropriate documents W9s, contracts, statement of work, vendor information to CFO for vendor approval setup
* Record EFT bank transactions, deposits, transaction journals, journal entries and payables
* Ensure timely payments to vendors
* Responsible for mailing, scanning, filing, running post office and other errands
* Deposit checks received into the correct bank accounts via remote deposit or in person at local bank branches
- Handle all incoming calls with the utmost of professional decorum, friendliness, efficiency and attention to detail to ensure the most expeditious answers to questions with well-founded follow-up to address and resolve needs.
- Processing and coordinating Fedx/UPS shipments and other mailings
- Plan and execute projects and events as needed
- Run errands and take on additional duties and projects as needed.
