Accounting Assistant (Sacramento)
Busy office is seeking a qualified Accounting Assistant to work collaboratively with our accounting department.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsible for assisting accounting manager with both businesses.
Ensure that appropriate internal procedures are followed.
Understand appropriate discretion with confidential Company information.
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Data entry and verification of incoming contracts
Matching invoices with purchase orders
Enter and code invoices according to expense accounts and job
Enter change orders
Maintain accurate tracking spreadsheets
Reconcile and file monthly account payable statements
Reconcile monthly credit card statements
Set up and maintain Subcontractor data records & files
Assist with year end duties and audit preparation
Assist with general administrative duties as necessary such as answering or routing phone calls and
other duties as assigned.
2 years work experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems.
Skilled in communication.
Strong attention to detail
Strong skills in Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with QuickBooks
Ability and willingness to learn proprietary software
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 /hour
