Job Description
The Communications Manager will lead the creation and execution of the companies communications strategies. He or she will have an advanced understanding of corporate healthcare communications and how to elevate companies visibility and reputation within different communities. He or she should be an expert at crafting and pitching thought leadership pieces and have a journalistic skillset capable of extracting valuable stories and content for newsletters and the chosen mobile app.
A successful Communications Manager will position the company as a source of information through strategic content creation for our blog and should have an understanding of SEO principles. The Communications Manager will lead our internal communications strategies and work closely with the Digital Brand Manager to distribute external messages and ensure brand consistency.
The position:
- Creates and distributes communications for company leadership teams
- Works proactively to schedule communications and create content for long-term campaigns
- Develop companies internal and external newsletters
- Crafts a strategic executive thought leadership calendar
- Interviews executives to develop articles for internal or external distribution
- Collaborates with other departments to plan and execute speaking opportunities for the leadership team
- Manages many projects at once and delivers communications accurately and on schedule
Requirements:
- Experience using an email marketing system
- Ability to think creatively about securing bigger, better and more impactful coverage of our leaders
- Strategic thinker, creative collaborator, proactive manager who can provide unique communications solutions that elevate the companies visibility and reputation
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry publications and conferences
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism or Health Administration
- Corporate communications experience, preferably with some healthcare experience
