Marketing Associate, Pitchfork Live Events
Pitchfork is expanding its event and festival business, and is looking to add quickly to a growing staff! We’re looking for people with a variety of creative interests, an ability to work quickly and collaboratively, and an ability to remain calm under pressure.
The Marketing Associate position will present a unique opportunity to be involved in multiple aspects of Pitchfork’s day-to-day marketing operations, from ticket sales to sponsorship to media and promoter relations.
Responsibilities include:

Project manage announcements for all events and festivals

Assist in the development and distribution of sponsor sales collateral

Assist in sponsor management pre, during, and post festivals and events

Execute and and track consumer marketing efforts

Share key information with and provide support for third party production/marketing partners

Develop relationships with promoters and key partners to help bring additional visibility to Pitchfork events

Contribute ideas to event-driven proposals

Provide activation costs and other specifics regarding event-driven sponsor proposals
Requirements:

Well-organized

Strong interpersonal skills, as the role will be communicating with numerous internal and external teams

Strong written skills, as there will be diverse written needs across a variety of marketing and sponsorship elements

The ability to switch between multiple different roles quickly

Flexibility in dealing with the ever-changing world of music and event marketing

Proficiency in Google platforms (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Keynote

Marketing, media, or music industry background is a plus
