Pitchfork is expanding its event and festival business, and is looking to add quickly to a growing staff! We’re looking for people with a variety of creative interests, an ability to work quickly and collaboratively, and an ability to remain calm under pressure. The Associate Event Producer’s role is to assist with coordination of all aspects of Pitchfork’s events. These responsibilities include developing concepts and ideas for events, overseeing operations, directing staff, booking talent, and coordinating technical and production teams. Securing venues, vendors and equipment, as well as managing to a strict budget also are common tasks. This position will report to the Associate Director, Events. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate Production Needs - Oversee all production and technical aspects of events including sourcing and negotiating with vendors, from venues to AV equipment to catering to talent - Assist booking and securing talent for Pitchfork events and any brand related Pitchfork project - Assist with campaign management teams to ensure cohesive programming for all brand and sponsor partners - Proactively communicate event details to operations and marketing - Assist in developing and overseeing events’ budgets, and implementing changes to future budgeting strategy after a given event. - Participate in ideation, collaborating with art and event directors for the event in order to generate concepts and brainstorm ideas - Be prepared to work across departments, including pre-sale, post-sale, marketing, legal, and more - Must like music Skills Must be able to multitask and collaborate with a wide range of teams in order to assist with overseeing events. Highly organized, great communicators with the ability to prioritize many different simultaneous tasks. * Possessing live music event experience * Have some background in production * Proven project management abilities
