REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST have CDL (class B) AND Drivers License- In good standing (NO Accidents, Suspensions within the last 5 years)
• Must have reliable transportation to & from work

The responsibility of this position is to assure the safe and timely delivery of concrete to the customer, while encouraging the customer to utilize our value added ingredients such as fiber, retardant, color, or other additives. The timely return to the assigned batch plant for future loads is critical along with proper maintenance and care of the ready mix concrete truck, completion of all paperwork, assisting with plant work, and maintaining good public relations with customers is needed.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have a valid Department of Transportation certified CDL.
• Must be able to pass a federal Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screening and physical.
• Must maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and company policy.
• Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures, and wearing of required safety equipment and clothing.
• Customer focused - take responsibility for customer relationships, appropriately represent our company on job sites and while transporting product on public street and highways.
• Problem prevention/solving - able to proactively identify and solve problems and enlist the help of others as necessary.

About Us!

Family owned and operated, Castor Materials has grown to operate multiple plants and three separate locations in Philadelphia, catering to both commercial and residential developments.Castor Materials was started by a contractor to serve other contractors with their supply-mix needs.Our fleet of trucks servicing the area now includes over 48 front discharge mixer trucks to supply 400 cubic yards hourly.
