Course Description: CEMK 1150
The objectives of CEMK 1150 Marketing Essentials are to introduce students to the critical components of marketing, the environments to which a marketing manager must respond, marketing planning and strategic decision-making, and the manner in which an organization segments its markets and positions its offerings. CEMK 1150 Marketing Essentials provides the student with an overview of the elements of the discipline, laying appropriate foundation for future marketing courses to be taken.
(40 hours) Tu 18:00- 21:00 (Jan 14 – Mar 19, 2019)
(40 hours) MoTuWeTh 9:30- 12:00 (Jan 14 – Jan 31, 2019)
Key responsibilities include preparation of the course according to a course plan provided, delivery of the course, and evaluation of student performance.
Qualified candidates would have a MBA or MSc (Administration), or equivalent Five years of professional marketing experience in a large- or medium-sized enterprise where candidate was meaningfully involved in the areas of promotion, distribution, market analysis and customer service, or equivalent Three years of relevant teaching experience, or equivalent.
