Position Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Clinical Manager provides leadership for the health care team. The clinical Manager ensures that adequate human and material resources are available to support the 24-hour delivery of safe, quality patient/residents care. The Clinical Manager creates an environment that enables the Hospital/Facility/Region to fulfill its mission and performance goals. The Clinical Manager seeks to promote and maintain a positive, professional, team oriented and service conscious environment.



Experience


  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a related Program area is required.
  • Experience in Health Care Management an asset.



Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)


  • Bachelor of Nursing preferred or a Degree in a Related Health Care field.
  • Consideration will be given to experienced candidates who will acquire an agreed to degree within a given time frame.



Certification/Licensure/Registration


  • Appropriate C.N.A. Certification (or equivalent) for program area.

  • Personal Health Information Act, Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, and other legislated acts.

Physical Requirements


  • May be required to work extended hours.
  • May involve exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens etc.
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
