Scope of the Position
The incumbent will be detail oriented and have a strong client focus in order to guide clients through the integration and user acceptance testing phases of the assigned projects. The incumbent will report to QA Team Lead within Computershare Communication Services Technology Group.
Major Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and develop test strategy
Create and maintain test plans.
Work with the client’s QA department to co-ordinate end-to-end testing
Design and implement test systems to ensure product quality and conformance
Debug complex problems to characterize potential root cause
Bench mark testing with focus on performance
Run Regression tests for any system upgrades.
Manage clients through the entire UAT phase of a project
Follows policies and procedures
Supports organization’s goals and values
Decision Making and Problem Solving
Provide timely and constructive feedback regarding progress or issues to: peers, programmers, project manager, and manager.
Prioritizes and manages workloads in order to achieve agreed time-lines for multiple projects.
Escalates to the TL as required.
Education, Training & Certification(s)
Experience
3+ years of quality assurance testing experience in a commercial environment
Some knowledge of programming languages.
Previous experience with MTM
Thorough understanding of black box, white box, and end-to-end solution testing
Ability to read and analyze data structures (Flat, XML and Multiple Record Structures)
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, but also in a team environment.
Ability to develop positive, working relationships.
Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks and exhibit strong time management skills to achieve successful outcomes with attention to detail.
Ability to meet short and unexpected deadlines
Positive, enthusiastic attitude, self-motivation and strong work ethic.
Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm and focused
Possess the drive and commitment to make a difference
Strong written and verbal English skills
