Junior Developer (Java) At Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. - Canada

The team is looking for a Junior developer that is self-motivated to learn new technologies and looking to advance their skills.

Skills Required:

• Demonstrate skills in a one of the following languages/frameworks:
  • Java
  • Go
  • Nodejs
• Experience with Microsoft software/product suite (MS-Access, MS-Excel, etc.)
• oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to learn both mentored and self-paced

Additional Skills:

• Any of the following skills would be nice to have but not required
  • Demonstrate Skills in server side development
  • Frontend frameworks such as Angular, Angularjs, React
  • Databases either SQL or NoSQLJunio

Duties:

• Deliver assigned computer applications by taking responsibility for the application development, status reports and communication with users and IT department staff
• Translate requirements into effective sets of programs and procedures and to assist with the implementation of the resulting computer applications
• Produce computer programs according to functional specifications and development corporate standards
• To maintain existing production system technical documentation, program specifications and computer programs to correct errors, increase operating efficiency and implement new requirements
• Design, document, perform and verify unit test, to ensure the quality of functional components and ensure accurate operation of program prior to delivery

Location:

This position is open to qualified applicants located in the Saint John, NB Canada area.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, 2 year programming degree from a community college, or equivalent experience.
