M & A Investment Banking Intern - Summer 2020 At CliftonLarsonAllen

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description

The investment banking practice of CLA is searching for an intern for the summer of 2019 to join our M&A team. This position may require frequent overtime during the duration of the internship. Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist in in the identification of buyers for sell-side clients
  • Tracking of information related to these buyers as well as other M&A/deal related information
  • Financial modeling
  • Assisting with the drafting of teaser and M&A offering documents
  • Assisting with the due diligence process
  • Assisting with research for thought leadership pieces
  • Assistance with marketing material updates and development

Qualifications :

Preferred candidates will have a combination of:

· Strong GPA in their chosen major (preferably Finance, Economics, Business Management, and/or Accounting); have or be working towards Bachelors degree.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong orientation to a team work atmosphere and the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines

· High level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills

· Keen ability and eagerness to learn sell-side M&A Advisory

The Investment Analyst reports directly to the M&A and Investment Banking lead principal and interacts on a regular basis with Principals, Directors, Managers, Seniors, and Associates.

Travel Requirements:

This position will require <20 % travel

Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Client environments may vary, depending on services provided, but most, if not all, work will be performed in a traditional office setting under normal working conditions.
