Duties and Responsibilities: We are looking for Outdoor Education Instructors to join our 2019 summer team to work with the Directors to design and deliver imaginative and age-appropriate day-to-day programming for the day camps run on the farm for youth ages 5-12. We encourage staff to listen deeply to the environment and to children, to show their vulnerability and bring their whole selves. We invite staff to demonstrate what it looks like to be impassioned, caring and empathetic adults connected to the natural world and skilled and comfortable in that environment. Every week's camp is built on the inherent differences of the children involved and with the understanding that it is their natural inclinations or passions that lead to the building of infrastructure (fire pits, mounds of dirt, gardens). Program Activities range (not limited to) from fort building, cultivating edible mushrooms to harvesting wood in the forest, to building natural shelter, to cooking over a campfire and to crafting spoons and bowls.
The job is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
