VP, Marketing At ClearScale

Location: New York, New York

Job Description

ClearScale is a leading cloud systems integration company and AWS Premier Consulting Partner providing a wide range of cloud services including cloud consulting, architecture design, migration, automation, application development, and managed services. We help Fortune 500 enterprises, mid-size businesses, and startups across various verticals and market segments succeed with ambitious, challenging, and unique cloud transformation projects. We architect, develop, and launch innovative solutions using cutting-edge cloud technologies. ClearScale is growing rapidly and there is a high demand for the services we provide; e.g. Migrations, Big Data, Containerization, Serverless Infrastructure, Microservices, IoT, Machine Learning, DevOps and more.

The VP of Marketing is a key member of ClearScale's leadership team and will drive our go-to-market strategy and handle the overall ClearScale brand. This individual will design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies to boost sales, increase the brand recognition, and help drive revenue to reach target goals. The VP will continue building upon the company's strengths in existing markets and help establish ClearScale as a leader in new markets.
The ideal candidate will have past marketing leadership/management experience in cloud infrastructure, software product or services firms, with a good understanding of the cloud technology space. Attention to detail, an eye for quality, having a hands-on approach, get-it-done attitude, and the ability to translate ClearScale's strong technical capabilities into customer value proposition are key factors for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Sales and Technical teams to understand customer needs and ensure our go-to-market strategy is aligned to meet customer needs and foster growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to ClearScale's offerings by understanding technology developments, competition, and overall market direction
  • Partner with Sales and own the marketing-sourced pipeline goals for the Sales team, generate quality leads, keep them engaged, and connect with them at the right time
  • Analyze existing customer base and new customer requests, define customer profiles, map customer cloud journey and implement initiatives to address each stage of the journey
  • Analyze and interpret internal sales data to inform business decisions and make recommendations to leadership
  • Lead ClearScale's content strategy including case studies, blog posts, new services offerings, industry events, conferences, and customer activities. Lead the development of strategic presentations that leverage ClearScale's story and capabilities
  • Oversee all marketing materials, creative assets, and the website. Drive digital content, site traffic and social followers, and fuel brand recognition opportunities
  • Create effective messaging and tell compelling stories about our services and offerings – whether it's to our customers, internal teams, strategic partners, or industry at large
  • Lead a world-class marketing team, fostering collaboration within the team. Implement processes, KPIs, and tools to enable scaling of the ClearScale marketing organization
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 10+ years of direct experience in B2B technology marketing arena in various marketing & sales roles with increase in responsibilities and a record of accomplishments in digital marketing
  • 5+ years of experience working in a SaaS or professional services/consulting company, ideally focused on cloud infrastructure and IT services
  • Demonstrated successful history of accelerating a company's ability to grow across a variety of markets
  • Experience defining marketing goals and objectives in conjunction with Sales
  • Ability to set priorities, goals and timelines to achieve maximum productivity both individually and for the team
  • Exceptional leadership skills and proven ability to attract, develop, manage, and mentor a team
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful demand-gen marketing initiatives across channels, lifecycle stages, and for various audiences and buyer personas
  • In-depth knowledge of SEM, CRM, and marketing automation solutions
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage from strategic development to detailed execution
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • College degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a technical field
Preferred:
  • 2 years' experience marketing cloud services to AWS or other Public Cloud providers
  • Master's degree in business or related field
