Applicant Education and Experience: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, and five to ten years of experience in mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial, energy or facility engineering or a related field. Experience with energy engineering principles, methods, and techniques in industrial/agricultural facilities, systems, and processes is required. A range of experience with the following systems is desired: HVAC, lighting, chillers and refrigeration, variable frequency drives, compressed air, and process equipment. Preference given to those with a Professional Engineer (PEng.) license, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Practitioner in Energy Management Systems (CP EnMS) or other similar certification, and willingness to pursue additional certifications and training.
