Reporting to the Marketing, Manager, the Marketing Strategist is responsible for delivering revenue generating marketing initiatives that build profitability and reputation. This role is best suited for an individual who thinks both logically and creatively and who can apply the art of the possible to achieving business goals. This is a key role within a high performing team and requires a professional who can develop and execute marketing plans and sales opportunities that gather insights, attract leads, improve sales and drive demand generation.
The preferred candidate must be able to activate on consumer behavior trends, generate ideas and deploy an integrated marketing strategy that positions the Calgary Zoo as a top-tier choice for guests, special events and corporate partnerships.
The Marketing Strategist requires a high energy, proactive and passionate project manager who is able to work within a dynamic environment delivering on multiple brand and special event priorities.
This position will provide strategic council and tactical contribution to all integrated marketing and special event campaigns and is responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing marketing tools and services that drive market share for the Calgary Zoo.
The Calgary Zoo is an outdoor facility and all staff working at the zoo must be comfortable working in a large variety of outdoor conditions. The Calgary Zoo follows the advice of Environment Canada when responding to temperature and air quality issues.
