Sales Manager, Asia Travel Trade At Banff Jasper Collection by Pursuit

]Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in an assigned market while providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profit in line with company vision and values
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand the current sales area.
  • Seek out new business opportunities for all Pursuit operating divisions for existing accounts
  • Provide assessment of new revenue growth opportunities, qualify and secure new clients, close and forecast sales
  • Maintain excellent client relationships with assigned accounts: Responsible and accountable for client communication directed to the Sales area from internal and external sources
  • Cross sell products to clients to ensure products already set up and contracted
  • With the Senior Sales Manager, Asia, utilize key client statistics to determine schedule for attending sales calls either locally or abroad if required – this may involve attendance at in office meetings, dinners, tradeshows and sales/FAM trips
  • Manage customer acquisition and sales process within SalesForce
  • Manage daily communication ensuring that good customer service is provided and problem solving of issues that arise, with assistance of Sales Coordinator/Specialist
  • Provide Sales Department with internal and external sales through effective communication
  • Manage pre-planned sales trips and initiate business strategies and actions as defined in the sales plans
  • Sales calls and tradeshow follow-up; complete sales reports/action follow up items
  • Keep up to date on product offerings and make recommendations on how to include in itineraries to clients
  • Analyze and coordinate allocation requests for clients with the assistance of the Sales Coordinator/Specialist
  • Provide product training to clients
  • Provide competitor and market feedback, including product, price and product placement analysis to internal team
  • Communicate client product needs and timelines to Senior Sales Manager, Asia and ensure the prices and product information is received by the client on time
  • Provide direction and feedback with regards to product offerings and client services required
  • Participate in summer & winter rate and contract distribution
  • Liaise with the Channel Marketing Specialist (Print and Online) on implementing new initiatives regarding client marketing
  • Proactively send out sales collateral/material, and respond to sales requests and contact key accounts initiating information exchange and sales support
  • Participate with all sales and marketing personnel and divisional managers on budgets, marketing plans and gathering of business intelligence
  • Provide mid-season and year end plan updates with a focus on tactical performance metrics
  • Meet company goals and divisional targets and lead generation as set by key divisions
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma, preferably in sales/business, with a minimum of two years related in Travel Trade sales experience
  • Experience with the Asia market an asset
  • Spoken/written abilities in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or other second language an asset
  • An independent worker who takes initiative, self-starter, assertive attributes
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to see multiple projects and tasks through to completion on a timely basis
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office package with a willingness to learn new programs
  • Familiarity with Salesforce an asset
  • Must be able to work some overtime and travel as needed and enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • This position is based in Toronto, Ontario
