Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to being a critical member of a small, dynamic team of individuals who maintain a specialized balloon boutique store front on a busy and vibrant street where you will bring your real world experiences into the business to help us continue to change and grow. Being responsive to constantly changing requests that are all different on a daily basis makes the job a really creative business environment for the right person who wants this type of work environment.
The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training on all aspects of the business and upon completion of training the candidate will be able assist other team members with the managing of incoming phone calls, reading responding to specific emails and the candidate eventually will need to become a creative balloon artist (this will be a required and necessary daily function but this is something we will have to teach the successful candidate as it is unique skill that is not easily obtained). The candidate needs to have good dexterity with colors and have a creative flair. It can take upwards of 4 - 6 weeks minimum for the candidate to be trained where they can start to take on the responsibilities outlined above.
This individual must be able to interact with customers over the phone, via email, receive, review and respond to messages from our social media sites or when clients walk into the store front. This daily changing environment that customers are always requesting different balloon arrangements and inquiring about idea's and decorating solutions that they themselves are not really able to describe fully requires that you ability to multi-task and to be able to meet requests in a timely manner.
When initial training has been completed you will be required to create invoices from clients orders/requests that are received via email, off our web sites, taking payments over the phone and in person when clients walk into our store front and be able to use a computer to handle many different tasks associated to keeping the store front functioning.
We are looking for a longer term applicant to fill this position. Should be able to work 2 - 3 days per week minimum - Saturday availability is a must. This can turn into a more permanent position if you have the right skill set/attitude.
Qualifications and Skills - Must be able to articulate clearly in English both verbally and in written form. Previous basic hands on experience with retail sales is also a bonus. The candidate needs to have a creative/artist flair.
