This position helps enhance our firm’s reputation and brand by building a strong social media presence. The Social and Digital Media Manager creates original content for the firm’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and devises strategies to increase engagement and interaction with followers. This position guides the firm’s social media strategy and monitors social media policies. The Social and Digital Media Manager produces and edits videos to use in social media and internal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Create original content for firm social channels, post and encourage engagement and manage social media channels
  • Produce and edit videos to use in social media and internal communications
  • Guide social media strategy and monitor social media policies
  • Collect and summarize social media analytics and use insights to refine strategy and use creative tactics
  • Receive and review Marketing requests for social postings via Happy Fox and post on firm channels

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience required
  • Formally responsible for providing input into policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities
  • Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities
  • Trends in social media and communications
  • Understanding and adhering to Baker Tilly brand
  • Project management – scoping work, prioritizing workflow, managing deadlines, liaising with stakeholders
  • Technical – ability to work within the existing digital environment of the intranet (e.g., currently SharePoint), mastering all of the features/functions relevant for curating and posting content (does not require coding but does require functional understanding)
  • Digital Design – working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop
  • Video Production – working knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro
  • Communications Tools – expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Analytics – summarizing, interpreting and using for continuous improvement
  • Strong writing and editing skills, especially storytelling in a social media environment where posts need to be compelling and succinctly convey key messages
  • Strong visual/brand skills – ability to create complementary visual elements to accompany written communication for social media and videos. May involve oversight of a 3rd-party video production or designer for more complicated projects
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence and drive alignment and consensus among stakeholders across all levels and functions, from staff to leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the utmost discretion and diplomacy in handling confidential/sensitive information and adhering to the highest ethical standards
  • Video production and editing skills that are aligned with the firm’s brand
