]Responsibilities:


Baker Tilly Digital is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer for our Digital Practice. We are looking for someone to support the sales team by working with clients to develop innovative and creative technical solutions to their business problems, as well as design and deliver demos to show the value of Baker Tilly Digital to prospective and current customers

Develops and delivers customized and value-based presentations to prospective and current customers to demonstrate the unique strengths of our offerings


Uses creativity and customer insight to build innovative POC’s (proof of concept) that demonstrate the unique value proposition of our offerings to our customer


Designs, validates, and presents solutions that include advanced product concepts, future direction, and third-party complimentary products during the sales cycle


Responsible for staying abreast on the product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features, and functions within our product platform to apply them to customers’ business and technical problems


Maintains regular communication with customers to ensure on-going satisfaction and identify new upsell opportunities


Attend and actively attract prospects and customers to annual user conference and other marketing events or trainings


Assists with customer RFP proposals by researching and providing RFP project responses

Digital Consulting / Client Leadership:

  • Serve as an expert digital consultant supporting Digital Transformation/Product strategies and roadmaps
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities and challenges of space/markets and geographies in which the clients operate, and how it affects clients’ business and initiatives
  • Align with Baker Tilly Account Managers and Senior Leadership to co-develop / support account plans and strategies for delivery, growth, and client satisfaction
  • Serve as the digital business development lead, responsible for executing digital strategies and program roadmaps, and work directly with partners, digital competency leaders, marketing, and/or IT teams to position the engagement and Baker Tilly Digital for success
  • Understand the intersection between technology, customers, and business

Digital Solution Delivery:

  • Responsible for shaping digital solutions and properly scoping / pricing engagements, establishing optimal operating models and project team organization, and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
  • Understand the full end-end product cycle, from product vision/strategy, user experience design through development and release. Working closely with project/program management to ensure successful delivery through an integrated delivery model
  • Orchestrate digital/business transformation and product solutions, strategic roadmaps, data-driven experience design, platform implementation, and continuous improvement/optimization programs
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth within an account/client portfolio
  • Develop effective relationships with key internal executives, BU heads, Account Managers, Solution SME’s, Sales and Delivery Leaders

Drive Growth:

  • Drive digital revenue within the client/account portfolio as well as accelerate opportunities to influence and sell-in additional Baker Tilly Digital services
  • Align with Baker Tilly Digital goals and objectives, support company financial goals by achieving digital revenue targets
  • Support sales / pre-sales activities by assessing digital opportunities, responding to RFP’s, creating proposals and presentations, establishing relationships with clients and prospective clients, and helping to close/sign new deals
Qualifications:

BS degree or equivalent in a technical subject and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience


Experience in a technical customer-facing role such as product management, consulting or sales engineering with a technology company or consultancy is ideal

Deep understanding of cloud technologies with current AWS certification (professional level a plus)


Experience with analytics, big data (including an understanding of relational and unstructured databases and comfort with SQL) and/or data science


Proven or demonstrably outstanding professional speaking, writing skills, and presentation skills


Ability to articulate complex topics to novice or technical audience

A history of using innovation and creativity to navigate customer challenges and objections


Ability to understand our clients business problems and how to solve them through the use of technology/analytics solutions
