We are seeking a Director, Housing/Economic Development to join our Management Consulting Services team!

]Responsibilities:
  • Consults with clients regarding research and analysis related to housing, economic, and community development project needs in all geographic markets
  • Prepares fiscal analysis, reports and presentations related to housing, economic, and community development projects in all geographic markets
  • Develops long range plans with programs and activities to address community needs
  • Manages multiple projects and client contracts, project budgets and service delivery
  • Prepares proposals and work plans, prices services, negotiates contracts with clients, and monitors HED projects for profitability
  • Prepares agreements/contracts, planning documents, client communications, text for brochures, website, articles and a variety of other correspondence
  • Maintains project quality control measures for HED projects
  • Communicates information on services and activities to clients and prospective clients
  • Assists with HED marketing activities; attends professional conferences, assists in the preparation of marketing materials, conducts sales calls with clients and prospective clients, speaks at seminars, interviews, trade shows, service groups and other public relations venues, writes articles for newsletter
  • Performs related tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Planning or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Must acquire MA Series 50 certificate within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Municipal Advisory or HED experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of housing and economic development, rehabilitation and housing loan programs and practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of available government and private financing resources, practices and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, practices and procedures as they relate to the analysis of an economic development project
  • Basic knowledge of City planning practices and principles
  • Capability to develop and interpret program guidelines; skilled in written and verbal communication
  • Aptitude to address clients and the public and present information in a clear and organized manner; ability to prepare concise reports and studies; ability to develop and maintain detailed records and files
  • Ability to plan and manage project and client work
  • Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associates, clients, developers, and governmental agencies
