Business Development Manager At Baker Tilly Virchow Krause

This position supports sales and new business development and is responsible for selling Vantagen service offerings to potential and exising clients. Expected to develop referral relationships with internal Partners and Senior Managers to create a pipeline of client prospects. Building relationships with key contacts from referals, pulling in appropate BT representation for client presentations and demonstrations, and following up with prospects are all critical aspects of the role. Promotes business unit services and increases brand awareness with target prospects. Updates the customer relationship management system and establishes data entry and reporting consistency.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with internal Senior Managers and Partners to identify internal sales leads of current Baker Tilly clients
  • Educate internal business teams on software and benefits to current clients by facilitating meetings with Partners and Senior Managers
  • Generate high quality sales leads for the team through referrals
  • Proactively identify potential opportunities for new business within Baker Tilly’s other business units
  • Manage sales inquiries from Baker Tilly Senior Managers and Partners
  • Achieve KPI expectations as set by the leadership
Management of accounts for potential clients
  • Manage, create and price proposals for potential clients
  • Provide a prompt and accurate response to current and potential clients regarding software and/or services
  • Setup demonstrations with potential clients and other internal teammember as needed
  • Utilize customer relationship management system to contact clients and prospective clients as well as track calls
  • Once niche markets are identified, create lead generation for external prospects
Management of accounts for existing clients
  • Stay current on existing and emerging product and technologies
  • Provide existing clients with new applications as needed
Maintain and expand knowledge base of firm’s service offerings
  • Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and cross train colleagues as appropriate
  • Work with firm marketing and collateral to identify service opportunities and niche markets
  • Comply with continuing education requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5 to 8 years of prior work experience required
  • Excellent sales skills and a proven track record of achieving KPI’s
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with internal Partners and Senior Management
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Driven and ambitious individual with a strong desire to succeed
  • Previous experience in an inside sales role within a similar business
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies and regulations, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
  • Able to establish, develop and maintain strong, long term and positive working relationships with team members and clients
  • Minimum of five (5) years work experience. Previous software sales, support, or implementation experience or experience in a governmental organization is a plus
  • Demonstrate organization, interpersonal, communication, and software skills required
