Assistant Store Manager At Bailey Nelson

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

Put simply, buying glasses should be one of life’s pleasures. And we’ve created a formula to make it one. We start with a process that’s clever and honest. Our team members are different. The kind of people who don’t need a brand to tell them what to wear or who to be, because they’re already happy doing their own thing.

Lead Your Team

  • Support in building and leading an incredible team of enthusiastic, customer driven optical stylists and optical dispensers in collaboration with the store manager
  • Inspire, motivate, supervise and develop your team. Help them grow – personally and professionally by exhibiting the Bailey Nelson core values in all that you do
  • Cultivate a strong bond with your store manager and store optometrist

Drive Your Business

  • Better the eyewear industry by running and developing your store as part of a new and exciting business model
  • Be passionate and commit to delivering the best service in the eyewear and optometry industry
  • Maximise your store profits and minimise your store expenses in collaboration with your store manager, based on given budgets

Build Customer Rapport

  • Ensure you and your team go above and beyond excellent customer service at all times for every Bailey Nelson customer
  • Spread the Bailey Nelson culture in an authentic and genuine way with your customers
  • Create a strong and personal rapport with customers in your store and build a connection with the local community of businesses and people

Skills, Attributes and Experience:

  • You have at least 1-2 years experience in retail management
  • You have a good understanding of business practice
  • You have strong organization and time management skills in a retail environment
  • You have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • You are a quick learner and have a basic understanding of optics
  • You are always brimming with enthusiasm and positive energy
  • You are a pro-active, driven, passionate and highly motivated leader aiming to better yourself and those around you
  • You always encourage individuality of your team members
  • You are a strong team player and have a “unite the business” approach to all given tasks
  • You use your own initiative with projects and ideas for marketing, efficiency and process improvements
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You always focus on your customers
  • You are flexible and adaptable with your customer’s needs
