The encumbent for this position should possess a minimum of 7 years in the field of Merchandising and Design, directly related to Juniors Dresses and Apparel. The job requires maintaining an on-time calendar for each market and season as well as designated customer meetings. Directing a staff off designers and assistants in monthly, weekly and daily tasks in an organized efficient manner that is results oriented. The correct candidate is to stay abreast of all trends related to the Juniors Apparel Market and translate this into winning collections for each monthly market. The candidate should also be knowledgeable in fabric, prints, sourcing, cost parameters and overseas development of samples. The position requires a team leader that is able to collaborate with executive management and sales, and possess excellent communication skills. This team leader must possess strong creative drive,vision and talent combined with organizational management skills.
