About the role
We are seeking a go-getter Director of Business Development, who will be able to build key relationships from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and increase the level of wireless business development opportunities within the company.
  • Oversee the company’s wireless technology roadmap under the direction of the CEO.
  • Working with the CEO and Engineering Department Head in overseeing technical implementation and deployment.
  • Reach out to external funding organization and lead white paper and proposal development resulting in contract award.
  • Work with CEO to identify technical priorities and roadmap and help in the execution of those roadmaps.
  • Provide technical support and participate in business development activities and customer meetings.
  • Work with Engineering to implement and execute on the technology and engineering roadmap.
  • Identify and lead new data partner prioritization and negotiations.
  • Drive new strategic data partner acquisition from initial engagement to signed data partnership deal.
  • Develop data partner program and incentive structures with a focus on unique location data and location movement data from a variety of sources.
  • Build go-to-market strategy and business models for acquiring vast amounts of location data and drive P&L.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new opportunities and drive growth.
  • Track, analyze and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends across partners.
  • Proactively resolve business issues with partners.
  • Act as an internal advocate for partners and advance our identity capabilities through strong partnership with Network Operations, Marketing, and Engineering teams.

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business required, Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant wireless communication systems design experience post education.
  • 10+ years of success building and leading client and/or partner relationships.
  • Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development and negotiation of long-term strategic relationships.
  • Excellent project management experience, with ability to lead multiple time-sensitive initiatives in parallel.
  • Advanced knowledge of simulation tools such as Matlab and C required.
  • Successful track record for delivering differentiated technology.
  • Prior leadership and team building experience.
  • Fluent in technical presentations, proposal writing, and customer meetings with a focus on the government sector.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of RF signal propagation, channel modeling, digital communications and associate signal processing technologies..
  • Data ecosystem experience preferred.
