We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help implement a successful project doing a reclassification of the Wheaton College library collection.This project will require the assistant project manager's help in organizing and manage a team of at least 18 FTE employees under the direction of the project manager.The project involves relabeling Over 300,000 books at Wheaton College.These books will need to be gathered, relabeled, and then re-shelved in their new LC classification location in the library.The project will start in May and will last through September.
Strong leadership capabilities with good interpersonal skills; Strong organizational skills; Ability to multi-task; Good time-management skills; Capacity to deal with problems intelligently; Proven attentiveness to detail and quality; Desire to learn new tasks and assume greater responsibility; Good performer in your current position.
Management experience; preferably of teams of up to ten employees. The structure of our teams includes team leaders to help with management for every five employees.
A college degree desired; preferably a Masters of Library Science
Experience working in the library world with librarians either as a vendor or as a librarian.
Some experience with communication equipment desired.
