Regional Marketing Manager At Bacardi

We’re looking for the very best innovative talent to join our team as the Regional Marketing Manager.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

As a regional marketing manager, this position works in close collaboration with the Marketing Program team and the Regional Sales Director within the assigned region and is responsible for the implementation and execution of national marketing programs as well as the identification of local opportunities to leverage and optimize national marketing initiatives and maximize resources to drive the sales plan.

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Drive execution of nationally designed programs, localizing content and tactics where appropriate to suit regional conditions and opportunities.
  • Support in the development of national programs and VAP initiatives by providing feedback on previously implemented programs.
  • Continually take the pulse of market realities through retail visits to see competitive activity and identify local opportunities.
  • Work closely with Regional Director to manage activation budget: assist with implementing national marketing initiatives as well as build customized regional/local programs from ideation to execution to maximize resources.
  • Analysis or ROI of marketing programs as it relates to sales.
  • Regularly communicate with assigned regional sales force via market visits, sales meetings, etc. to gain feedback on market conditions, challenges, etc. and to communicate marketing information with sales.
  • In major markets, work in close partnership with distributor marketing teams to ensure we are leading communication and execution of all national programming and initiatives.
  • Actively participate with the retail marketing team through consistent sharing of information via weekly status calls, attending meetings, and engaging with the broader marketing organization where appropriate.
  • Attend events and activities, as required.
  • Perform other duties, as required.

Critical experiences for success

Candidate needs to be a self-starter, prepared to work effectively with minimal supervision, exercising a high degree of discretion and independent judgment. Primary duties include implementing national marketing initiatives and providing feedback on market conditions to support development of future initiatives.

Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Public Relations or the equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience within the hospitality industry or wholesale alcohol beverage industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and quality standards within our industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of trade marketing, including budgeting, timing and flow.
  • Requires knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service within our industry.
Skills:
  • Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner, communicating and interacting effectively with executives, employees, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of the organization, in person, via telephone and email or other written correspondence.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer proficiency required in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the internet.
  • Ability to read and write in English with knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar, and to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Ability to develop new and creatively innovative ideas for events and to bring them to fruition.
  • Independent and strategic thinking with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Proficiency with administrative systems such as file and record management, and form design.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Possession of exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls (5-6+ hours per day); reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and infrequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee is required to possess visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading, visual inspection and general observations.

The working environment is basically an indoor climate-controlled environment. The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
