About Our Client
Our client is an multinational firm located in the Heart of Downtown Vancouver. Known for their reputation, great work life balance and support for employee growth, they are currently on the search for an IT Service Desk Technician to work in their Vancouver office. This is an entry level position for someone who has successfully completed a post-secondary program in IT and wants to gain experience in a professional environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• - Respond to incoming requests from the National IT Service Desk via telephone, email, web and in-person ensuring courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues
• - Troubleshoot computer hardware, and when necessary does emergency replacement
• - Assist with software and hardware upgrade projects when required
• - Record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
• - Provide deskside support to users in local office for firm applications and hardware devices
• - Deployment and support end-users for office hardware and software including (but not limited to) Desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers, Cisco VOIP phones, mobility units (iPhones, iPads, tablets)
• - Assist with office moves, which includes moving all computer equipment from one work station to other location
• - Set up A/V equipment in meeting rooms, and assist outside client connecting to our system, when required
• - Other duties as assigned
