Manufacturing Engineer (Project Lead) At Aerotek

Location: Bolton, Ontario

Job Description

Our client, a leader in the Manufacturing industry, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in the Caledon Area on a contract basis.


The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Manufacturing process planning, Create standardized production procedures; create all documentation for products, such as work instructions and revision drawings
  • Create line and plant layouts; Space requirements and machinery layout to create an optimized work flow.
  • Determine ways to minimize operating costs, such as equipment justification to enhance performance.
  • Interface with suppliers regarding the manufacturing process.
  • Develop & update the Process Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plans
  • Perform time and motion studies, development of standardized work, manpower estimation and standard data using MODAPTS / MTM / MOST.
  • Perform Cycle Time, Bottleneck analysis
  • Develop solutions to break bottlenecks and improve throughput
  • Work closely with all plant stake holders in launch support and production ramp activities
  • Provides mentoring and direction to less experienced team members.

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related discipline required
  • 7+ years of work experience in Automotive / Manufacturing setting preferred
  • New product manufacturing process planning and launch experience
  • Data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem solving skills
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing
  • Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork (verbal and documentation) skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation is required
