Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Quality Inspector at IOL Kearl project site in Fort Mackay, AB. This is a temporary positon on a 6/1 rotation.
Responsible for the systematic implementation of a quality management system for a project, service, business area, or geographic location.
Repsonsibilities
+ Under general direction, technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
+ Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
+ Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
+ Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.
+ Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.
+ Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
+ Reviews project process and evaluate results.
+ Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
+ Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
+ Conducts investigations and tests that are of moderate to considerable complexity.
+ Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.
Conditions of Employment for this position are:
1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
2. Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Minimum Requirements
+ Diploma/Certificate + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ CSTS-09 Ticket
+ Standard Level C First Aid
+ This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.
