Job Description
AECOM's Acoustics group based in Mississauga, ON, is seeking an engineering graduate with an interest in acoustics and vibration to join our team. You will be working with a close-knit team of engineers and specialists to prepare analysis and recommendations in a range of fields, such as industrial environmental compliance, transportation planning (railways/highways), construction, architectural acoustics and mechanical noise and vibration control. You will interact with multidisciplinary teams within AECOM and with external clients and agencies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Site work including noise and vibration measurements, logger set up, and site reviews
- Acoustics, noise and vibration calculations and software modelling
- Assessment of acoustics, noise and vibration impacts and development of design solutions
- Review of architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and civil drawings and design documents
- Preparation of technical documents
- Working with internal teams and external clients
- Ensuring accuracy and quality of technical information and project documentation
- Work in accordance with AECOM's Safety, Health & Environment and Quality Management System policies
Minimum Requirements
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject with at least one course in Vibration
+ Engineering Intern (EIT) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligibility for EIT Program
+ Ontario Driver's license
+ Excellent technical writing skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
+ Client/service-focused
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
Preferred Qualifications
+ Work experience in a consulting engineering firm
+ CAD skills/experience - e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation
+ Programming skills/experience - e.g. MATLAB, LabVIEW
+ GIS skills/experience - e.g. ArcGIS
