Job Description
AECOM is looking for Cost Control Clerks to support the Project Controls function in monitoring (tracking and recording) costs and progressive cost reporting for our Husky Sunrise Turnaround starting in January 2020. This temporary position will be approximately 6 months in length on a 7/7 shift rotation at our Husky Sunrise site. This is a camp position with flights provided from the Calgary or Edmonton flight hub.
The Project Controls provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization.
In support of this function, the Cost Control Clerk may perform and/or support in the performance of the following responsibilities:
+ Services include planning, cost and schedule (work breakdown structure) metrics and tools, collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labor hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract work), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analyzing (earned value, productivity and risk analysis), and reporting.
+ Identifies and tracks all changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the client and project management.
+ Integrates cost and schedule data and reporting with the company's accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company performance and financial goals.
+ May also be involved in change control management, and critical path method network analysis.

+ Develops familiarity with industry contracting.
+ Investigates causes of variances between estimated, committed, and actual amounts and recommends solutions or recovery plans.
+ Measures progress and reviews performance trends.
+ Understands and applies knowledge of project revenue and cost.
+ Possesses strong computer skills with a developing knowledge of company cornerstone applications.

Minimum Requirements
+ Diploma in related area plus 2 years direct experience
+ As this position will be based on site, the following safety tickets are also required:
+ CSTS, H2S Alive, First Aid Level C, and the client proprietary on-line training

Preferred Qualifications
+ Some experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or maintenance projects in a cost control position, similar to that obtained through an internship, is favorable.
+ Demonstrates the aptitude and ability to support the development, implementation and maintenance of effective cost control programs.
